The pharmaceutical giant Merck, based in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, has established an Asia research and development headquarters for innovative drug discovery and development in Beijing, China.
The new facility, announced on 6 December, is part of the company’s $1.5 billion commitment to invest in R&D in China over the next five years.
