National Semiconductor Technology Center is “essential to speeding up R&D”, says science chief

The United States has formally announced a National Semiconductor Technology Center to help speed up microchip R&D as part of its efforts to maintain its global leadership in the field.

“The NSTC is essential to how we speed cutting-edge R&D, strengthen the semiconductor workforce and ensure that our semiconductor industry can continue to support American innovation, national security, competitiveness and economic growth,” said Sethuraman Panchanathan, director of the National Science Foundation.
