AAAS Board alarm over attacks on climate scientists

The leadership of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is expressing serious concerns about reports of personal attacks on climate scientists, including legal challenges as well as alleged harassment and death threats.

These assaults have created a hostile environment that inhibits the free exchange of scientific findings and makes it difficult for factual information to reach policymakers and the public, according to the organisation’s Board of Directors.
