HHMI funds early careers of international scientists

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) has selected biomedical researchers from 12 countries to receive the organisation’s first international early-career (IECS) awards.

The 28 winners were chosen from 760 applications. The country with the most awardees is China, with seven, followed by Portugal and Spain, with five each, HHMI announced on 24 January.
