The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) sent a small delegation to Iran led by Nobel laureate Peter Agre earlier this month, and the organisation reports that the week-long visit was a success.
In a 25 June statement, AAAS said the delegation was “deeply impressed” by Iran’s commitment to research and education and by the “warm welcome” that they received from the country’s science leaders, researchers and students.
