Universities should take a more inclusive approach when preparing undergraduate teaching content on ethics in international research collaborations, the Council of Graduate Schools has said.
Students need to learn about research protocols, professional expectations and scholarly standards in other cultures, the council said. It released recommendations for improving the way graduate students are taught to navigate the ethics of international research collaborations on 19 September.
Universities should make sure that their teaching content incorporates input from faculty, students and experts in research ethics, the council said.
