Science advocates get to work ahead of November elections

A national movement to mobilize scientists, lobby for evidence-based policy and coordinate researcher activism has launched across the United States.

The movement known as Science Rising is being coordinated by advocacy groups including the Union of Concerned Scientists, 500 Women Scientists, and the Ecological Society of America’s policy branch.

The groups are targeting upcoming November elections and say they hope to mobilize pro-science votes and galvanize support for science among candidates.
