PSU’s Spanier loses job in wake of coach scandal

Pennsylvania State University’s (PSU) president, Graham Spanier—a renowned researcher and academician—was fired by PSU’s Board of Trustees on 9 November in the wake of allegations of child sexual abuse scandal involving the school’s former assistant football coach, Jerry Sandusky.

Sandusky was arrested on 5 November, accused of sexually assaulting eight boys over a 15-year period.
