Princeton research dean’s departure delayed

Princeton University’s first-ever Dean for Research, A.J. Stewart Smith, who was slated to leave the post on 1 January to become vice president of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, is now expected to remain until 1 July, The Daily Princetonian reported.

The delay is caused by the inability of the committee charged with finding Smith’s replacement to meet the deadline, the paper said on 11 December.
