Faculty salaries in the United States rose more than 1 percent in 2014, having been stagnant overall since the 2009 economic collapse, according to a report from the American Association of University Professors.
Accounting for inflation, faculty salaries increased 1.4 percent between the 2013-14 and the 2014-15 academic years, the AAUP survey found. Full, associate and assistant professors all saw about the same increases.
This is the largest rise in faculty pay since 2009, when salaries rose 3.3 percent in real terms.
