Claudine Gay becomes second university president to resign after controversy over House of Representatives evidence

Claudine Gay, the president of Harvard University, has announced that she is stepping down from the role amid controversy over testimony she gave to the House of Representatives.

In December, University of Pennsylvania president Liz Magill similarly resigned in the wake of testimony she gave to the House.
