Speakers at American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting criticise reliance on anecdote
Researchers and policymakers have been told to urgently inject more scientific rigour into the push to make research methods and outputs more widely available.
Speaking at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Denver on 16 February, Chris Bourg, director of libraries at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said researchers are often too simplistic in their approaches to opening up research.
