Obama signs ‘good for science’ whistleblower protection law

Whistleblower protection legislation hailed as “good for science” by the Union of Concerned Scientists was signed into law by President Obama on 27 November.

The law gives government scientists more tools with which to fight back if they are demoted or dismissed after alleging censorship or misconduct at their agency.
