Family risk factors in juvenile crime pinpointed

A study of more than 70 teenagers incarcerated at the Barbados’ Government Industrial School has found that negative family influences played a huge role in young crime.

Joana Matthews from the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Barbados analysed the data available for 71 juveniles committed to the school, the only juvenile facility on the island.
