Ontario cancer lab gets $420m boost

The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research is to receive $420 million over five years from the provincial government to support research into the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The institute is also being offered two floors in the phase II development of the MaRS research and innovation centre in Toronto, which will provide space for its genomics and bioinformatics research laboratories.
