Cash prize for innovative energy ideas

Caribbean small island states’ institutions that are cutting emissions and increasing the use of renewable energy are in the running for cash prizes.

Ashden, a United Kingdom-based company, will give two £20,000 (US$32,000) prizes for the top innovative enterprises and programmes that are promoting the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the small island states. Two runners-up will win up to £5,000 (US$8000) each.
