India and US have signed an agreement on collaboration in diabetes research.
The agreement includes development of joint research programmes in diabetes by the Indian Council of Medical Research and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The programmes will look into all aspects of the disease, including the genetic and environmental factors underlying its development, improved diagnostic tools, treatment and prevention methodologies and diabetes self-management.
