OECD reveals global disparity in spending on university staff

Just over half of spending by Italian higher education institutions goes on staff, while in Colombia nearly all the money ends up paying for salaries and benefits.

This huge global disparity in what proportion of higher education spending goes on staff costs has been revealed by the OECD in a report on global education published on 11 September.
