Quality of care research not prioritised, academies warn

Medical science academies say more research is needed to support universal health coverage

An international alliance of medical science academies has published a report saying more research is needed on quality of care to support efforts to establish universal health coverage in low-and middle-income countries.

The report, published on 18 September, describes the findings of a workshop in May organised by the UK Academy of Medical Sciences and the InterAcademy Partnership, a global network of similar bodies.
