Brazil plans biotechnology boost

Brazil’s government plans to develop a programme to stimulate the country’s biotechnology research and industrial output, the minister of science and innovation, Marco Antonio Raupp, has said.

Making the announcement at a meeting of Brazil’s national council of science and technology in Brasília this week, he said president Dilma Rousseff had requested the programme.
