Health survey biobank seeks research proposals

Health researchers can now apply for access to the blood, urine and DNA samples collected by the Canadian Health Measures Survey.

The survey collected 12,000 blood and urine samples, and 6,500 DNA samples in two cycles, from 2007 to 2009 and 2009 to 2011. It also contains information about body composition, blood pressure, lung function and physical activity level.

Researchers who wish to access the samples for their research must apply to Statistics Canada before 31 December.
