Genome Canada has announced plans to fund the development of a strategy to allow the sharing of genomic and clinical data sets around the world.
The funding, offered in conjunction with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, will support the activities of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health. The programme is expected to involve a broad range of researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians and computational biologists, ethicists and legal experts, and policymakers.
The funding opportunity is due to be launched before the end of 2014.
