Genomics institute offers life science help to companies

The Ontario Genomics Institute, a not-for-profit life science business incubator based in Toronto, has launched a division to help companies in areas outside the life sciences capitalise on research and innovation in the life sciences.

The Scintelligence division will focus on three major areas: agriculture, health and informatics, and natural resources including mining, water and forestry.

“Ontario has an incredible wealth of scientific knowledge, but many industries are unaware of how life sciences solutions can improve their business processes and decrease costs,” said Mark Poznansky, CEO of OGI. “Scintelligence’s approach is to determine industry’s needs and connect them with partners and cutting-edge technologies that help address the challenges they face.”
