Extra S$195m for energy R&D

The Energy Innovation Programme Office has announced that it will commit an additional S$195 million (US$160m) for energy research and development in the period to 2015.

According to a 12 July news release, the funding, made available by the National Research Foundation, is intended to stimulate growth of the clean energy sector in Singapore by strengthening public research capabilities and improving the commercialisation of research results.
