Dutch engineers to help Bangladeshi flood control

Dutch and Bangladeshi researchers are to work together on projects to control the severe floods that are a constant threat for both countries.

A five-year programme worth €700,000 (US$1 million) is supported by WOTRO, the Dutch funding organisation for research on global issues. It will mainly involve staff from the Wageningen University and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, reports SciDev Net.
