Decades of Chinese economic growth have been achieved largely by a focus on innovation, Liu Xiaoming, China’s ambassador to the UK, said in a speech at Imperial College in London, reports China Daily.
China should now “move on with an even stronger will to innovate,” he said in his 18 January speech. The ambassador said China was focusing on innovation in cutting-edge technologies in information, bioscience, materials engineering and space, as well as on building top-rate research institutes, universities and R&D centres.
