Korean studies to get $24m boost

South Korea’s education minister is to invest 27 billion won ($24 million) in Korean studies this year, reports the Korea Herald.

The money will invested as part of a project, launched in 2007, that is intended to foster research on Korea, including its history, culture, anthropology, society, politics and economy.
