China hosts Unesco science strategy centre

An international research centre for research and science policy, operated under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), was inaugurated in Beijing on 24 September.

The International Research and Training Centre for Science and Technology Strategy (CISTRAT) will design and conduct international cooperative research and professional training programmes, provide technical assistance, develop policy and foster networking among governments, academia and industry.
