Japanese institutions hold six of the top 10 spots in this year’s Nature publishing index from the Asia-Pacific region.
The University of Tokyo has retained its number one position in the region and is ranked ninth in the world in the full index for 2012. The Chinese Academy of Science was second in the region, followed by Kyoto University.
