Higher education institutes have joined together to offer emergency support to Syrian students and scholars.
On 25 September the Institute of International Education (IIE), in collaboration with Jusoor, an organisation for the Syrian diaspora, and the Illinois Institute of Technology in the US announced a scheme to help Syrian academics continue their work despite conflict in the country.
