Nine Arab women scientists win fellowships

Nine Arab scientists from Middle East countries have been awarded fellowships for projects intended to improve their communities through science research, reports Nature.

The nine women, who have each been awarded the $20,000 L’Oreal UNESCO Women in Science Pan Arab Fellowship, come from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Oman, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.
