We’re about to become a global leader, says Ahmadinejad

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has praised the rapid progress of Iranian science and technology and said the country is about to become a global leader in science, Fars News reported on 23 September.

Ahmadinejad made his comments in a speech addressed to students at the beginning of the new academic year. “Given Iran’s current pace of progress in scientific fields, the country will be introduced to the world as a science reference in future”, the president said.
