Microbiology Society reaches open-access agreement through Jisc consortium

The Microbiology Society has become the first small learned society to strike a deal to transition to full open access through Jisc, the body that carries out journal licensing negotiations for UK universities.

The two-year agreement, which comes into force in 2020, will allow researchers at around 180 institutions to publish an unlimited number of open-access articles and read all articles published by the society’s journals.
