The student regulator will launch a consultation on the survey in 2020
Plans to carry out the “biggest overhaul” yet of the National Student Survey have been set out by the Office for Students.
The nationwide survey is designed to provide insight into students’ experiences at university and is used to help set universities’ scores in the Teaching Excellence Framework, although the OfS admits there have been “mixed reviews about its role in the TEF” and whether the NSS can be used as a proxy for teaching quality.
