Academics and business peers lament lack of attractiveness of Swedish science jobs
Ahead of a forthcoming research policy bill a group of Swedish academics and industry representatives has urged the government to introduce measures to make careers in science attractive again.
In a comment piece in Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagblader, the group argued that both academia and industry are struggling to produce high-value services and products due to difficulties in recruiting capable researchers, and that this is affecting the country’s competitiveness in domestic and export markets.
