The Joint Expert Panel releases its latest report and recommendations on the Universities Superannuation Scheme
Both Universities UK and the University and College Union have cautiously welcomed the second report on the Joint Expert Panel appointed to look at the USS pensions scheme.
The Panel was established by UCU and UUK following industrial action in 2018. The union believes universities should cover all the costs of increased contributions to the pension fund, but employers think any new costs should be shared on a 65:35 basis.
