STEM activities, climate change and international projects dominate this year’s action plan
Science Foundation Ireland will have a budget of €199 million this year and keep its focus on supporting individual research and broader, “challenge-based” funding.
According to the foundation’s 2020 plans, released on 9 January, the money will be spent on a mix of individual-led programmes and societal challenge, as well as international collaboration. The budget will also back the foundations 16 major science centres, the plan said.
