Learned societies are in discussion with government policymakers over the creation of a new immigration system to attract researchers to the UK after Brexit.
The Royal Society, British Academy and other learned societies are taking part in an informal consultation about legislation plans that could be published by the end of March, Research Fortnight has learned.
