Clinical trial sponsors ‘breaking reporting law’

  

Trial sponsors—including federal research centres—found to have repeatedly missed reporting deadline

An investigation by Science magazine has found that dozens of sponsors of registered clinical trials have failed to report the trial results within a one-year reporting window, as required by law.

Although the reporting of registered trial results by pharmaceutical companies and universities has improved, reporting by some universities and even some federal research centres has been poor, the study found.
