Teams behind two complementary international facilities agree to work closer together
The organisations running the multinational Square Kilometre Array and Cherenkov Telescope Array research infrastructures have signed a cooperation agreement to pool their expertise in engineering, science, technology and administration.
Both facilities are in the planning and construction phases. Although the SKA will listen for radio waves and the CTA will detect gamma rays, the two Earth-spanning infrastructures have much in common, including several member countries.
