Values should ‘shape new objectives and priorities’, according to European University Association
The European University Association has put a focus on values on its wish list for the future direction of the European Research Area, an initiative to enable researchers and knowledge to flow freely across borders.
“The ERA should be underpinned by a clearly defined, and commonly understood, set of core values that shape new objectives and priorities,” the EUA said in a position paper it published on 5 March, ahead of proposals on the future of the ERA due from the European Commission in the summer.
