Water Security CRC proposed to tackle climate change

Universities bid for federal funding to create water management and planning centre

Plans to set up a national water security research centre to respond to Australia’s climate challenges such as drought and river health are being developed by universities in Queensland and Melbourne.

The proposed Water Security Cooperative Research Centre will look at the impacts of population pressures, climate change, urban planning and water catchment management practices on Australia’s water supplies.
