EU infrastructure funding ‘too fragmented’, representatives say

Consortia running cross-border facilities want funders to be coordinated in their strategies and schemes

Representatives of research infrastructures have called on the European, national and regional funders that support them to embrace a more coordinated, continental approach to doing so.

The ERIC Forum, which brings together European Research Infrastructure Consortia—multinational, intergovernmental organisations running single-site and distributed infrastructures—called for more joined-up funding in a position paper it published on 24 September.
