Extra funds for 2021 will benefit funders, Europe and space
The Swedish government has announced an extra 3.4 billion Swedish kroner (€306m) in proposed spending on research and innovation as part of its budget proposals for 2021.
The proposal was put forward by the coalition Swedish government, led by prime minister Stefan Löfven. Under the budget, as it stands now, the Swedish Research Council (SRC) will receive a total of SEK1.1bn for 2021 and the research funders Forte, Formas and the Swedish Space Agency will receive a total of SEK372m.
