Nearly half of infrastructures surveyed would ‘remain viable for less than a year’ without grants
Many European infrastructures that support open science—loosely defined as science whose methods and results are made publicly available for scrutiny and reuse—are on unstable financial footing, a study has found.
Thirteen of 32 such infrastructures surveyed by the open science advocacy group Sparc Europe said they could “only remain viable for less than a year” without grant funding, according to a report of the survey published on 30 October.
