Location for office of research institute to be decided on 9 December
Barcelona is among a “small number” of cities that have made it through to the second round of the competition to host the EU-related activities of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, according to Spain’s ministry of science and innovation.
The ministry said on 20 November that 10 cities were evaluated in the first round of the competition to host the activities of the centre, which is an independent intergovernmental organisation that produces weather forecasts and carries out research to improve forecasting.
