Germany's academic exchange leaders lament uncertainty about coming changes for students and researchers abroad
The UK’s exit from the European Union will make student and researcher exchange more difficult—but a lack of political clarity is making it tricky to adapt to the situation, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has warned.
From the beginning of 2021, laws and access to programmes will change for students, researchers and higher education institutions involved in British-German cooperation, DAAD said. All in all, Brexit would be a great loss for both partners, said the body’s president, Joybrato Mukherjee, in a statement issued on 19 November.
