Global prize for research quality seeks to reward ‘good behaviour’

German foundation’s award will spotlight efforts to improve the robustness of research findings

An international award backed with €500,000 ($600,000) in prizes is seeking to showcase work that drives up the “quality and robustness” of research findings.

Launched by the Einstein Foundation Berlin—which promotes research in the German capital—the award will recognise work in three categories, with €200,000 for individuals and €200,000 for institutions. There is also €100,000 for project proposals from early career researchers.
