OfS reveals continuation gaps between student groups

Regulator shows continuation differences between higher-tariff universities and other insititutions

Students at higher-tariff universities are less likely to drop out than those at other institutions across all subjects and ethnic groups—although disparities remain—according to analysis by the Office for Students.

Data on continuation rates published by the Office for Students on 16 December reveal that in 2017-18, students who enrolled at higher-tariff universities were more likely to stay into their second year than those at medium-tariff and lower-tariff institutions.
