Development experts condemn “blatant disregard” for international partners as UKRI grapples with £120 million shortfall
Several research council advisers have resigned following the revelation that vast numbers of projects face the axe because of huge aid spending cuts.
Last week, Research Professional News revealed that the government had given public funder UK Research and Innovation £120 million less than required to cover its existing commitments in 2021-22 for research projects funded through Official Development Assistance.
